Darlington-based high level and general maintenance experts, Stone Technical Services, have strengthened their sales and marketing team as they put plans in place to grow further in 2013.

For the first time since establishing 15 years’ ago, the business has recruited an in-house marketing specialist.

Chris Hunter has joined Stone to look after aspects such as websites, new business, events and general marketing activities to help the company enter new markets as it continues with its growth around the UK.

Chris graduated from Teesside University with a BA (HONS) in Marketing and business management qualifications and the 25 year old has previously worked for Tees Valley Unlimited and BT in various marketing roles.

Chris will work alongside Stone’s web development consultants from Design 365 in Newton Aycliffe and PR company, Anna Addison Associates in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.

This is the first of a number of new jobs that Stone hopes to create this year, adding to its 30-strong workforce based at it HQ on Kellaw Road in Darlington.

Chris said: “Stone is such a thriving business and joining at this point in its development is really exciting as there are lots of plans in the pipeline. I’m looking forward to the many challenges to come as the company grows around the UK and enters new markets.”

Stone Technical Services, a UK leader in high level and general maintenance and historic restoration and renovation, grew rapidly throughout 2012 and opened a new Edinburgh office to add to its sites in Middlesex and Cheshire and its HQ on Kellaw Road in Darlington.

But to do this, we need the right team- and I am passionate about providing opportunities for young people in our region. Chris will help us to enter new markets and introduce us to new clients around the UK. And in the coming months we’ll be looking to strengthen our team further.”
