The North East's biggest business event touches down

The region’s largest business networking event North East Expo returns this spring, kicking off with a move to the home of Newcastle Falcons.

The hugely successful event will now take place on April 17 at Kingston Park rugby stadium.

North East Expo has previously attracted more than 2,000 business visitors on the day when it was regularly held at Newcastle Racecourse.

To keep the event more self-contained, the Expo is moving to Kingston Park where this April 180 businesses and organisations are expected to take a stand.

Based on previous expos, companies can expect to mingle with visitors from across the region who are all looking to generate new business and promote their services.

Big names already lined up to take part in the event include Newcastle City Council, Sunderland AFC, G Casino, ITPS, Wingrove Motor Company, Mincoffs, St John’s Ambulance and Mercedes UK.

Visitors to the event can also enjoy a range of seminars and talks from some top experts. Vice President of airline Emirates Laurie Berryman will be discussing customer service and telling the story behind the company, while global Brand President of outdoor clothing giant Berghaus Richard Cotter will reveal how the firm became a global player.

Other top speakers will cover social media, funding motivation, branding and sales.

The North East Expo event is free to attend but registration is recommended via the website www.northeastexpo.co.uk.

The event is one of several business networking events, including Exposure Sunderland, ran by Exposure Events who are based at the Evolve Centre at Rainton Bridge, Houghton-le-Spring.

Event organiser Lorraine Gordon from Exposure Events said: “After five major events and three years we decided to move to the home of Newcastle Falcons. If you’ve attended one of our events previously you may recall that we survey our attendees after each event. You told us overwhelmingly you’d like to have improved access to public transport, free parking and access to the event in a single building.

“We have held events there in the past and the venue has always been a hit with visitors.”

Any one interested in exhibiting at North East Expo should call Exposure Events on 07523 072 304.

For the first time visitors can also purchase a premium seating seminar pass which secures seating in the first three rows for £8.00 which includes a free lunch voucher and two drinks vouchers.

A VIP Pass gets visitors a guaranteed “at the door” car parking space with VIP entry to avoid the queues and includes a premium seating seminar pass with unlimited hot drinks for £20.00.
