Bang Creations? founder to speak at Innovate 2013

Stefan Knox, founder of Haslemere-based firm Bang Creations International, has been invited to share his knowledge of intellectual property and new product development, with delegates attending Innovate 2013.

The three-day conference is the UK’s leading multi-sector networking event for business and will see over 4,000 people coming together from UK and international business, government and academia. It is being held at the Business Design Centre in London.

Stefan will be sharing his experiences of the product design process and the key considerations that need to be made when it comes to protecting an idea.

Stefan and the team at Bang Creations has firsthand experience of the process, having designed and developed hundreds of new products, across a diverse range of sectors, which have successfully been taken to market.

On 13 March at 11am, the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and UK Trade & Investment will host a workshop, entitled ‘How do I protect my idea?’. As part of the seminar, Stefan will address delegates to share his real-life experiences.

“I’m delighted to be attending Innovate 2013,” commented Stefan. “Having successfully designed and developed many new products myself, I am ideally placed to talk about and answer questions on all aspects of the new product development process. Producing strong, commercially viable designs and ensuring you protect those ideas is a key part of the process.”

Gary Townley, Intellectual Property Office business events manager, said: “Intellectual property rights are valuable assets for any business and this workshop will offer delegates practical advice on how they can be protected.

“Delegates will leave equipped with an insight into the vital commercial information and knowledge that they need to make decisions about taking their products to market.”

Innovate 2013 is being held at the Business Design Centre in London from 11-13 March. Standard tickets are priced at £125 and available from www.innovateuk2013.co.uk.
