Diagnostic Healthcare secures £1m from NW Fund
Altrincham-headquartered firm Diagnostic Healthcare has won a £1m investment from the North West Fund for Biomedical.
The diagnostic imaging company has a network of centres and mobile units around the country that provide MRI scans, obstetric ultrasound, bone density scans (DEXA scan), cardiac testing, health screening and reporting services.
With 20 years of experience in the UK and overseas, the firm supports the NHS and the private healthcare sector with their diagnostic needs.
Funding from the North West Fund will allow the business to expand its services in more locations around the country in GP surgeries, hospitals and mobile units.
The cash injection was secured from a wider £155m North West Fund, financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank with this particular investment managed by SPARK Impact.
Dr Penny Attridge, senior investment director at SPARK Impact and manager of The North West Fund for Biomedical, said: “The range of services being provided by Diagnostic Healthcare could make a significant impact on the provision of diagnostic imaging in the UK and abroad.
“We are delighted to make this investment in a high quality service which is an asset to the North West and to SPARK’s biomedical portfolio.”
Diagnostic Healthcare also hopes to acquire a larger portfolio of medical equipment as a result of winning what was the North West Fund for Biomedical’s 34th investment.
Managing director of Diagnostic Healthcare, Liat Karni, commented: “This investment will support the on-going growth of the company and will enable us to provide more high-end diagnostic services in more locations across the UK, as well as expanding our leading range of medical equipment.”
Michael Ringart, chairman of Diagnostic Healthcare added: “It’s an exciting time for the company and I would like to thank SPARK Impact for their trust and faith in us. We are expecting great things over the next few years.”
