Print Building sold to Signature Living Hotels
Liverpool city centre’s Print Building will be renovated into a boutique hotel after its sale to Signature Living Hotels.
PKF accountants and business advisors completed the deal on 28th February after its partners Kerry Bailey and John Newell were appointed administrators in 2011.
The property, on Liverpool’s Stanley Street, suffered major flood damage two years ago and the hotel was forced to close down by its previous operators.
Contracts were exchanged between operators in November 2012, and proceeds from the deal will be used to pay back the former owner’s creditors.
The former Victoria warehouse will be renamed the Print and Ink Hotel once its new owners open for business next week.
Kerry Bailey commented: “The Print building has a fascinating history dating back to the 1880s and the Signature Living team has clearly recognised its potential.
“They have an excellent track record in this area and I’m sure that the Print & Ink Hotel will be yet another success.
“The sale is also good news for creditors, and represents the culmination of 18 months of hard work by PKF’s North West Corporate Recovery team.”
