Sanderson Weatherall named most active agent
Sanderson Weatherall LLP has officially been named as the most active agent in the North for 2012.
The chartered surveyors beat off rivals to be named the most active agent in the North, in the EGi Deals Competition 2012.
The competition monitors activity across all sectors of the commercial property market and is based on the number of deals completed during the year, including investments, lettings, acquisitions and disposals.
Sanderson Weatherall claimed top positions across the office, retail and industrial markets, together with impressive performances in the leisure and hotel, and investment categories - leading it to take the overall title.
Bob Fletcher, Partner for Agency at Sanderson Weatherall, said: “This is a massive achievement and one that is testament to the hard work and dedication of our professional team, whose knowledge of the local market is second to none.
“We are immensely proud of our roots in the North. Our successes here help us to build our wider growth and development plans across the UK, as we continue to extend our market offering and office network.”
Highlight activity during 2012 included the letting of 47,000 sq ft of prime office space to AMEC at Lingfield Point in Darlington, the sale of 86,000 sq ft to Expert Cables Ltd in Hartlepool and deals that saw brands such as Bank and Lakeland open at Metrocentre and Sole Trader, L’Occitane and EE arrive at Eldon Square.
