Mastering Innovation to boost your business at NETPark

Businesses are being offered the chance to attend a masterclass in innovation leadership at the North East Technology Park (NETPark) in March.

Business Durham, which promotes and develops the NETPark Net innovation network on behalf of Durham County Council, has secured the bespoke business development services of P Three Business Development to deliver ‘Mastering Innovation’ on March 27. The class, hosted by NETPark Net, is aimed at science, engineering and technology companies as well as the wider business community and will increase awareness of the use of innovative thinking and the leadership that supports it.

The class is part of the wider NETPark Net Innovation Academy programme which provides a series of tools and workshops designed specifically for companies who are developing a range of products and services. The masterclass will provide companies with proven tools and methodologies which will build structure, certainty and confidence into their innovation process as well as a clear understanding of their role in determining the future of their products and services.

Dr Anwar Bashir, Managing Director of HyperSmart and Innovation Academy 2012 stated: “The Programme has enlightened my company to areas such as; IP landscaping, Blue Ocean Thinking, Innovation Strategy. I now have a clear vision on not just one but a number of projects that exist within my business”

Roy Sandbach, Visiting Professor, Centre for Competitive Design, Cranfield University and NETPark Ambassador also believes: “NETPark’s ‘innovation academy’ is a great way to engage with leading edge innovation thinking and opportunity.”

Stewart Watkins, Managing Director of Business Durham, said: “The innovation masterclass is the latest exciting opportunity offered at NETPark, supporting businesses and helping put County Durham firmly on the map as a hub for innovative companies.”
