Ben Quigley elected Chairman of England and Wales

The IPA has announced the appointment of Ben Quigley, Chief Executive of Different, as Chairman for England and Wales outside of London. Ben takes over from Bruce Hutton, former Chief Executive of Bray Leino.

The IPA has 63 member agencies located in England and Wales (outside the M25), from Bournemouth to Newcastle, which range from small specialist agencies to the offices of the largest multinational agency networks.

In his role as Chairman, Ben will listen to the views and concerns of the IPA’s members in these locations, and ensure they are represented at the IPA Council. He will also attend the various dinners around the country, help coordinate the activities of the four City Heads, and generally raise awareness and support of all IPA initiatives amongst members.

Says Ben: “I’m delighted and honoured to be the new Chairman for England and Wales. I will listen to the views and concerns of members within my remit, working closely with the new city heads to ensure members are represented at Council; as well as raising awareness and support for all IPA initiatives amongst the membership around the country.”

Ben’s biography:

With a background in sales and advertising, Ben Quigley co-founded creative agency Different, in 1999 before becoming Chief Executive in 2011. The agency specialises in integrated marketing communications and is based primarily in Newcastle upon Tyne with an outreach in London.

Ben has overseen Different’s rise to a regionally, nationally and internationally-renowned creative agency, and has collected awards for cross-disciplinary creative and effectiveness including IPA Advertising Effectiveness, Roses, London Internationals, New York Festivals, CIPR Pride and Excellence Awards as well as DMA Direct Marketing Awards.
