Flourishing accountancy firm grows it workforce

North East accountancy practice Evolution LLP has expanded its team by recruiting a talented trainee to help drive the business forward.

The Tees Valley firm has enlisted Beth Telfer as part of the fast growing company’s long term plans to expand its offering and client base.

Beth, from Sunderland, is currently working towards her accountancy qualifications and is studying via the North East Chamber of Commerce.

She joins the firm following an 18-month stint working at another large accountancy practice, having left school in 2011.

Managing partner Martin Barber said: “It’s great to be able to continue growing our team as the company expands and Beth is now the seventh new member of staff we have taken on in the last two years. We’re always looking to add good people to the business and, should more people with the right mix of skills and work ethos come our way, then we may look to grow the team further.”

Beth said: “Evolution is a real up-and-coming firm in the North East, and I am really impressed with the value the business places on its people. I wanted to join the firm because it offered a better career opportunity for my future and I had heard positive things from others I knew, who told me about its great reputation.”

Evolution, which currently employs around 50 people, is located at Wynyard Park and was formed in 2010 following the acquisition of the three former North East offices of Vantis plc in Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Darlington.

It has since grown rapidly and now acts for a wide range of clients from sole traders to multinationals, offering a broad range of services including personal tax returns and tax planning for high net-worth individuals.
