Kite challenge you to Take the Tape Test

As the name suggests, it’s not just cost savings that the latest product from leading packaging supplier Kite Packaging can offer your company. Envirotape is the latest in a line of environmentally friendly packaging solutions that reduce the impact of packaging on the environment whilst offering the customer value for money.

What if you could fit enough tape to stretch the height of the London Eye onto one roll, but without taking up extra space and requiring a bulky dispenser? What if you could reduce down-time due to roll changes by 56%? And what if this tape brought significant cost savings?

Kite Packaging has come up with the answer to these questions with its new envirotape, measuring the same diameter as a roll of standard packaging tape but with more than twice as much tape on the roll thanks to its smaller core design. At 150m in length (almost 500 ft), the tape stretches one and a half times further than a football pitch, or across 6 tennis courts.

The benefits to the environment are substantial, with huge reductions in waste and harmful CO2 emissions. Due to the need for less frequent deliveries, a 62% saving in carbon dioxide emissions can be achieved, helping you reach your green targets. The product also produces less cardboard waste making it the ideal product for companies taking their environmental responsibility seriously.

Switching to envirotape can also lead to cheaper storage and transport costs thanks to fewer rolls being required per job, increased productivity due to less frequent roll changes and, most importantly, huge cost savings per metre.

Kite is urging packaging users to Take the Tape Test to see how much they could save by switching to envirotape today. Using a clever tool on their website, buyers can enter details of what they are currently purchasing and see potential savings on the screen.

A spokesperson from Kite Packaging said: “Our envirotape has been in the development stages for some time now and is ready to change the face of packaging. The new product offers huge cost savings to the customer as it is cheaper per metre and both transport and storage costs are reduced.”

“We expect that in the course of the next few months, many businesses will make the switch to envirotape because of these and other benefits. We estimate that 2013 will demonstrate a huge changeover in the packaging tape market and here at Kite we delighted to be a part of this.”
