The Budget countdown is finally over!
My Budget hopes are:
-
Additional direct assistance with job creation, for example extending the employers NIC holiday which is scheduled to finish on 5th September 2013.
-
A co-ordinated effort from a national and local level to ensure that the support for skills needed to encourage growth in the region is provided, particularly in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
-
Greater emphasis on tasking the Local Enterprise Partnerships with ensuring that the benefit of Enterprise Zones in the North East are being made available to SME’s as well as large multinational companies.
