MWA Technology heads to Sustainability Live 2013
MWA Technology is looking to celebrate its 20th birthday in style in this month, when it heads for its largest ever appearance at Sustainability Live 2013 (April 16-18).
The Birmingham-based company, which has enjoyed a record year in 2012, will be showcasing the latest metering solutions designed to reduce energy and water wastage in domestic homes and commercial premises.
Technical experts will be on hand to discuss metering problems and issues, whether it is a domestic diaphragm meter or the commercial applications of automatic meter reading, data logging and installation commissioning.
The company’s specialist knowledge was instrumental in delivering a major contract with Utility Partnership Ltd (UPL).
Martin Wardell, Managing Director, explained: “We have just won a major tender to supply the latest energy and water monitoring systems for domestic installations across 20 European countries as part of the ICE-Wish Project.
“This involves encouraging tenants of social housing organisations to monitor their usage data via their home TVs in a bid to change the way they consume energy and implement environmental improvement activities.”
He continued: “Winning this contract was more than just matching a price; we had to understand UPL’s project plan and application objectives so that their delivery expectations became ours. We also advised and worked with their project team to source and supply the optimum meter, ensuring they get the accuracy of information required for the pilot.
“It was a tough tendering process with plenty of competition, but our ability to offer independent solutions and unrivalled technical support proved the difference.”
MWA Technology currently supplies electric, gas, oil, water and energy meters to distributors, contractors, OEMs and energy monitoring professionals across the UK.
A significant investment programme in larger premises in Birmingham and specialist testing equipment has seen the company achieve record sales of £4m and create five new positions across the business.
Martin concluded: “Sustainability Live is an important event for promoting the low carbon agenda and the role the supply chain is playing in helping it become reality.”
MWA will be on stand M26 at Sustainability Live. For further information, please visit www.mwatechnology.com, email info@mwatechnology.com or follow @mwa_technology on twitter.
