Lovell selected for £4bn housing project
Birkenhead and Altrincham-based property business, Lovell, has been selected by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to deliver a £4bn housing framework.
The four-year Delivery Partner Panel 2 (DPP2) framework will be carried out across the whole of the UK, while Lovell will be involved in house builds in all four panel regions in the North, Midlands, South West and South East excluding London.
Lovell also worked with HCA on the preceding project, DDP1, which saw 29,000 homes built across 150 sites; a goal that DDP2 plans to exceed.
Developers were chosen on their ability to build houses on public sector land, and the chosen panelists will now compete in ‘mini competitions’ for housing projects.
Managing director of Lovell, Stewart Davenport, commented: “Our success in gaining a place on all four panel regions recognises the company’s solid track record of working with our partners to deliver the high-quality, new affordable homes needed in communities.
“We’re delighted to be continuing to use that expertise working with the HCA, housing associations and local authorities to bring forward new housing development.”
Lovell is an expert in affordable property development, with specialities in new-build, regeneration and refurbishment.
The company is part of the Morgan Sindall Group and has offices across England, Scotland and Wales.
