Women urged to sign up for networking event

Female bosses with fashion-related businesses are being given the opportunity to promote their wares at a free fashion fair.

Hartlepool business networking group Women What Do is calling for fashion-related businesses to come forward and take the opportunity to showcase their companies in an informal setting.

A Vintage Fashion Fair is being held at Café 177 in York Road on Wednesday April 24th and organisers are calling for interested businesses to get in touch now.

Samantha Lee, from Publicity Seekers, who is organising the event on behalf of the group, said: “Our last event was centred around hair and beauty and went down really well with the members. Each business took a table and was able to showcase some of their products and services and hand out leaflets.

“A lot of them reported an up-turn in takings soon after and for businesses such as fashion or beauty, it is about telling potential customers where you are and what you do and hopefully making them lifelong customers.

“For the members it’s a chance to see what good local companies we have in a nice relaxed setting with wine and canapés.

“We have several independent fashion-related businesses signed up from designer pre-loved clothes to handbags, temporary tattoos and retro knitting.

“However if anyone else would like to promote their business then please get in touch.”

The Women What Do events are free to all network members. Membership costs just £20 per year and at each event attendees are asked to pay £5 to cover the wine and food which is provided.
