Elecomm Ltd Expands Head Office to Beighton Link
JF Finnegan’s Beighton Link Business Park has attracted another prestigious tenant as Elecomm Ltd expands its head office operation to the flagship scheme.
The Communications, Electrical and Mechanical contractor Elecomm Ltd has taken a 5 year lease on the 7,250 sq ft unit C4 to relocate its expanding head office and warehousing operation from Nine Trees Trading Estate in Rotherham. The Sheffield office of Property firm CBRE secured the deal for JF Finnegan, while Elecomm Ltd represented itself overseen by General Manager Steve Thomas .
Beighton Link is widely regarded as one of South Yorkshire’s most successful business parks. It is well known as home of Swedish global industrial group Sandvik, who introduced a new 112,500sq ft state-of-the-art Sandvik European Centre of Excellence at the site in what represented one of the region’s largest pre-let deals. That business was taken over by Orchid last year.
The site was also selected by Norwegian Steel firm, Sverdrup Steel, for its first UK venture which was also the organisation’s first base outside of Norway.
Elecomm Ltd will join a host of existing tenants in the now fully-occupied Phase 1 of the popular scheme, which comprises 55,000sq ft of high quality industrial and business space over 3 buildings and is located on a 15 acre site off Junction 31 of the M1. Phase 1 tenants include Cadac BBQ manufacturer, Ideal Envelopes, Viaturn and SP Smith Painting Contractors.
Nick Gillott, Director of JF Finnegan, said; “Beighton Link’s ability to attract global operators such as Orchid and Sverdrup Steel as well as catering for leading regionally-based businesses such as Elecomm Ltd demonstrates its universal appeal as a place for firms to work and grow. We have a fantastic mix of tenants and have seen the park go from strength to strength. Looking ahead, we have plans to incorporate further units of a similar nature on the remaining three acres and are considering potential leisure and retail uses.”
Co-founder and Managing Director of the Communication Division of Elecomm Ltd, Chris Thomas, said; “Due to increased business we were looking for a new unit to accommodate our ever expanding team and after extensive searches in the South Yorkshire area we eventually found a suitable unit which matched our quite specific requirements.’’
Co-founder and Managing Director of the M&E Division of Elecomm Ltd, Paul Mansell, also commented; “Beighton Link is a prestige business park and the location and quality of the unit was ideal. We are excited about expanding our operations whilst remaining firmly based in South Yorkshire.”
CBRE is joint agent with Crossland Otter Hunt on Beighton Link. Senior Director of Industrial Agency at CBRE, Roger Haworth, brokered the deal and commented; “Once again, JF Finnegan’s reputation for quality developments in strategic locations has proven pivotal in attracting an occupier. Beighton Link’s strength lies in its superb location, close to all the major motorway networks, and the sheer quality of build. Elecomm Ltd will join a strong tenant line-up when they move in this month.”
