Insurance broker welcomes trio with wealth of experience

Henderson Insurance Brokers Teesside has made a hat-trick of experienced appointments that will further boost its commercial division.

Rob Thomson, 60, and Heather Henderson, 52, join the company as account executives, where they will develop insurance accounts by bringing in new business.

Chris Duggan, 26, has been welcomed to the role of business development executive. Chris graduated with a business degree in 2007 before working for Barclays and Santander in business development and relationship management positions.

Rob and Heather are both from Hartlepool and have a vast amount of experience in the insurance business, with Rob starting out in 1973 and Heather in 1978. Rob owned Sillars Insurance Services from 1980, which Heather was then a director and shareholder of, before selling the business in 2010.

Jonathan Willett, managing director of Henderson Insurance Brokers Teesside, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Rob, Heather and Chris to the team. They all bring a substantial amount of experience that will only serve to benefit our Teesside office, and complement the existing strong talent pool that we already have.

“This expansion will help the business grow and develop as well as further improving our client-facing services. All three new members of the team are looking forward to the challenge and I am looking forward to working with them for many years to come.”
