The Trout Hotel unveils investment plans
The Trout Hotel has unveiled an £80,000 investment programme to remodel bathrooms.
The award-winning four star hotel, where more than £3m has been invested in recent years, now is refurbishing more of its ensuite bathrooms.
As well as using local suppliers for its recipes and menus, the Trout Hotel also likes to employ local firms when it remodels any of its rooms or facilities.
So far three bathrooms have been completely refurbished to a coat of £9,000 per bathroom and are now fully tilled and offer under floor heating, de mist mirrors and hansgrohe shower fittings with a further six to be completed by the end of the year.
The Hotel has used local building firm lambert–gill ltd, of Carlisle, to do the work.
Hotel Managing Director Sue Eccles said: “The investment demonstrates our commitment to Cockermouth and our resolve to meet guests’ changing aspirations and changing trends in the hospitality industry.
“The refurbishment of the bathrooms will give them an even more contemporary, luxurious feel which all contributes to the personal touch and quality service that we like to offer to customers.
“As a business of longstanding in the area, we are proud to be part of the Cockermouth business community and a supporter of local companies.
“We look forward to welcoming guests old and new to the remodelled facilities at the Trout Hotel.”
The Trout Hotel boasts 49 luxurious well-appointed bedrooms and an award winning restaurant and a bistro and bar.
It offers five different dining experiences each offering menus to suit a variety of tastes.
The choice comprises the award-winning Derwent Restaurant ideal for a romantic dinner, the Lounge Bar for a light bite, and The Terrace Bistro, a more contemporary setting perfect for lunch with the option of dining alfresco on The Terrace. The hotel also can provide private dining in the luxurious surroundings of the Wordsworth Room.
