UK leads European hotel development pipeline
Manchester, Birmingham and London are leading the UK’s hotel development pipeline, according to research from the STR Construction Pipeline report.
The report covers hotel builds in the construction, final planning and planing stages, across Europe.
European hotel development pipeline comprised 818 hotels, totalling 135,115 rooms. Manchester reported the largest expected room growth at +22.7% with 3,061 rooms, while Birmingham reported a +17.5% expected increase.
Elsewhere, Istanbul indicated an increase of 5,447 rooms at +14.9%, and Moscow reported an increase of 4,697 at +12.7%.
