Best small cap companies honoured
Belvoir Lettings, Pure Wafer and Escher Group were among the winners of the inaugural Small Cap Awards, announced this week.
Supported by the London Stock Exchange plc and ISDX, the awards was attended by institutions, fund managers, brokers and advisors.
The winners were selected from a shortlist of nominees, by a judging panel led by Brian Basham, chairman of Equity Development.
IPO of the Year went to Belvoir Lettings; Small Cap International Company went to Escher Group; and Small Cap Company of the Year went to Tracsis.
Elsewhere, Panmure Gordon & Co picked up Small Cap Advisor of the Year honours; Small Cap Executive Director of the Year went to David Baynes of Fusion IP; and Reconstruction/Refinance of the Year went to Pure Wafer.
Veteran fund manager, Patrick Evershed, scooped the outstanding Small Cap Hero Award, for his contribution to small cap markets and their companies.
Brian Basham said: “There are some great companies in this often overlooked sector and it was difficult to choose, but this is a segment of the market that deserves to be celebrated. It is the future.”
