Ryder Architecture shortlisted for top industry Awards

Newcastle’s Ryder Architecture continues its 60th birthday celebrations by being named in three AJ100 Awards shortlists, including Best Place to Work, North East & Yorkshire category.

Ryder has been named in the 10-strong shortlists for this year’s AJ100 Employer of the Year award and the AJ100 New Member of the Year award.

Says Peter Buchan, Senior Partner: “We are delighted to have made the shortlist in these prestigious AJ100 awards. We are especially delighted with the Employer of the Year nomination as the award is judged on aspects like staff satisfaction and workplace culture - areas that we feel are key to Ryder’s success in the next 60 years.”

The New Member of the Year award is given to the practice which has entered the AJ100 for the first time, or after five year’s absence, and is based on business success and quality of the practice’s work. Last year’s winner was Zaha Hadid Architects.

Ryder has also been shortlisted in the Best Place to Work, in the North East & Yorkshire, North West and Scotland categories.

The AJ100 nominations come hard on the heels of Ryder achieving a place in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list, 2013.

As part of a set of events marking its 60th birthday, Ryder will be hosting a series of exhibitions, including a month-long display at the BALTIC Centre in November.

The AJ100 awards takes place on 8 May at 8 Northumberland Avenue.
