Nortech Solutions wins 'Newcomer of the year' award
Nortech Solutions, the professional engineering design and project management company, based on Teesside, has won a prestigious regional award as best newcomer.
The company, which is based at Wynyard, Stockton-on-Tees, carried off the title for Newcomer of the Year in the 2013 North East Business Awards, held last night.
Judges cited the unique qualities of Nortech’s services, the dedication and pursuance of its business plan and evidence of its managerial and financial performance.
The rapidly expanding firm, which now employs 75 members of staff, serves the process, offshore, onshore oil & gas, steel and iron industries.
Bryan Bunn, Managing Director of Nortech, said: “We are delighted to have won this award. We have had a tremendous year and it is great to be acknowledged by our peers.
“We set up two years ago this month so this recognition for the way we do things and the quality of our work is a perfect birthday present. We hit the ground running in April 2011. Since then, we’ve grown carefully but quickly to service our clients and offer them, we think, a unique proposition.”
Nortech Solutions beat off opposition for the Virgin Money Sponsored Newcomer of the Year Award from QuestUAV and Wherethetradebuys.co.uk. The category is open to businesses less than three years old.
Mr Bunn said: “Really, it is a pleasure to do business with our clients. They inspire us to always do our best. We are very proud of who we are and what we do. We work in partnership with clients and thank them for their support.”
The North East Business Awards were held at Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Darlington.
