Behind the business with NE Offers

Christopher Tubman is the owner of regional daily discount website NEoffers.co.uk, which operates only within the North East. After graduating from Northumbria University with a degree in Business Management, Christopher worked in recruitment for three years before setting up the company. Bdaily went Behind the Business to find out what NE Offers is all about.

What key challenges has your company recently faced?

NEoffers.co.uk is still classed as a new company and therefore the biggest challenge was establishing a base. Fortunately the North East has always had a spirit of supporting local businesses, especially with our risk-free strategy which makes ourselves extremely cost-effective in comparison to all other marketing channels.

What is your biggest achievement over the past 12 months?

The biggest achievement within the last 12 months would definitely be; to be at the point which NEoffers.co.uk is presently. Currently we are working ahead of ambitious expectations with not only the popularity of our Facebook and Twitter groups, but also from a statistical point including on-site visitors and newsletter sign-ups which allow us to stake a very strong claim to being the fastest growing online discount website within the North East.

What is your most important focus for the coming year, and what do you hope to achieve?

The focus in the coming year is to become further established in the market through expanding our partnerships within the region, of which we already work closely with local sports clubs including Sunderland FC, Radio Stations and both print and online publications.

What excites you most about your industry and business?

The aspect of the industry which drives me the most is being able to stimulate much needed sales for local businesses. With the growth of online shopping and the huge reduction of prices NEoffers works with local businesses to create a platform to advertise prices, which can be competitive with online competitors.

What will the “next big thing“ be in your industry, and how do you plan to handle it?

Although it could be disputed that it is the current ‘big thing’; mobile access. Given our current information and statistics within the next 12 months more people will access the NEoffers.co.uk website through mobile devices as opposed to desktop PCs. We have recently gone through a major upgrade to the website which incorporated a very user-friendly mobile version of our site enabling us not only to be competitive but to also stay above users expectations. we are also looking at launching an NEoffers.co.uk app within the near future.
