Digital businesses? success creates space
Thanks to a number of digital businesses expanding, entrepreneurs have the chance to move into DigitalCity’s flagship building, Middlesbrough’s Boho One.
The development of Double Eleven and Coatsink Software into different spaces in Boho One has meant there is now the space for smaller start-ups to move into.
Lauren Wearmouth, Head of Operations at DigitalCity Business, said: “These new office spaces are being created as digital businesses in Boho One have expanded and taken on more staff - and now need more space.
“To make room we’ve developed a former events space to create one of the larger offices and other businesses have moved on.
“This means digital businesses that are just starting out, and looking for a creative space with the networking opportunities and on-tap support DigitalCity offers, now have the opportunity to move into their own office.
“Past experience tells us these spaces won’t remain empty for long and with the exciting new entrepreneurs emerging from DigitalCity Innovation at Teesside University and across the region we’re looking forward to welcoming the next generation of businesses into Boho One.”
There are four offices available at Boho One, the flagship building for Middlesbrough’s DigitalCity Business, which is fast becoming the UK’s most vibrant digital hub.
Boho One, was opened in July 2009 and consists of 32,000sq feet of high tech office space.
DigitalCity Business has a wide ranging structure of support for new businesses – from those looking to set up their first businesses to established entrepreneurs looking to launch a new venture. DigitalCity Business assists early launch and growth through training, contacts, investment, facilities and more.
DigitalCity Business is also focussed on helping existing businesses reach the next level of their development. They are experts in helping businesses achieve high-growth, from commercialisation strategies, sales planning and execution, and investment readiness assistance and attraction.
Boho One is the flagship building of Middlesbrough’s new exciting Boho Zone; the digital, creative and business hub of the Tees Valley.
Boho One sits on an impressive site on Bridge Street West in central Middlesbrough, on the borders of the Middlehaven regeneration area and just yards from the railway station. It has been designed to be the ‘heart’ of the Boho Zone – the commercial quarter for the town’s digital media, digital technology and creative sectors.
