Businesses sign up to support Kenilworth Show
One of the Midlands’ largest agricultural shows has secured major sponsorship deals with two familiar organisations.
The Kenilworth Show returns to Stoneleigh on Saturday, June 1 and has agreed deals which will see host Stoneleigh Park also become a principal sponsor whilst once again securing Rix Petroleum as main sponsors.
Rix Petroleum, which has its Midlands base on Station Road in Coleshill, is sponsoring the show for the fourth year running.
Rix Petroleum Director Paul Doherty said the fifth generation family-owned independent fuel distributor has experienced one of its busiest springs this year due to the low temperatures and is already planning to expand its fleet of tankers to cope with demand.
“Demand has been incredible, which in part is due to the harsh weather conditions we’ve had,” Paul said.
“Domestic orders are up around 70 per cent for this time of year, compared to the same period in 2012, with people finding that fuel they would normally expect to last for much of the year is running out quite quickly.
“The farming sector accounts for a large part of our business and we’re pleased to be supporting the Kenilworth Show again. It’s very important for us to maintain strong relationships with our customers and events like the Kenilworth Show provide us with a valuable opportunity to thank them for their business
“This will be the fifth year we’ve attended the show, and we are delighted to extend our sponsorship to a fourth year. Giving something back to the local farming fraternity is extremely important to us and we’re all looking forward to June 1.”
Colin Hooper, Stoneleigh Park Estates Director, said the Kenilworth Show is important date in the agricultural calendar.
“Stoneleigh Park is hosting the Kenilworth Show for the fourth year running and we’re delighted to be a principal sponsor for this year’s event,” he said.
“We have very exciting plans for the park over the next few years, and rural business and innovation is at the heart of our future.
“The Kenilworth Show is a great occasion which celebrates all that is good about farming and rural business.”
Kenilworth Show chairman John Rouse, a private client lawyer at Midland law firm Wright Hassall, said the backing of the local business community is vitally important to making the event a success.
“The backing we receive from businesses all across the Midlands is really appreciated by everyone associated with Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society (KADAS),” he said.
“The showgrounds at Stoneleigh Park has proved to be a popular venue for the show and were delighted the organisation is also supporting us through sponsorship this year.
“Rix Petroleum has also long been an extremely loyal member of KADAS and to have Paul and the team with us again on June 1 is fantastic.”
