Guerilla Communications scoop top marketing award
Marketing communications agency Guerilla celebrated huge success at last Thursday’s Drum Marketing Awards winning the award for Global Brand Strategy of the Year.
The coveted awards ceremony rewards and celebrates the UK’s most effective marketing strategies. Guerilla was nominated for its creative strategic work with The PHOENIX Group one of Europe’s largest pharmaceutical wholesalers.
Guerilla was the only agency in the North East to triumph at the ceremony, where nominees included big name brands such as Samsung, BT, LOVEFiLM, Mercedes, Danone and the BBC.
James Allen, Managing Director, Guerilla Communications, said: “Winning the award for Global Strategy of the Year is a great achievement for us and a reflection of how hard we worked to win the PHOENIX brief and then deliver it with BENU.”
“It is a great feeling to be the only North East agency to come away with an award, especially as we were up against very high profile brands. Beating the competition is testament to the efforts by and quality of the team who thoroughly deserve recognition for what they delivered for PHOENIX. “
Max Schwesig, Head of Corporate Retail, The PHOENIX Group added: “We appointed Guerilla, following stiff competition from some of the biggest branding agencies in Europe, to create and deliver a single umbrella brand name and identity solution. Guerilla understood what we needed and delivered exactly the results we wanted. The brand BENU has now been rolled out to seven countries across Europe covering around 1000 shops including the growing private label business.”
The accolade follows other recent success for Guerilla. Last month, the agency was listed as one of the Top 50 Design Agencies in the UK following an independent survey carried out by The Drum. Guerilla is the only North East company to make it into the rankings. The agency Guerilla also achieved Recommended Agency Register.
