Oxfam Ireland to improve engagement with m-hance

Oxfam Ireland, a member of Oxfam International, a global organisation working to end poverty and injustice, has selected a charity management system from m-hance to optimise its fundraising operations and increase productivity. m-hance’s system will provide a 360 degree view of campaigns and activities to improve supporter and organisational engagement and enrich Gift Aid reporting by capturing critical data more efficiently. m-hance’s system, which will be seamlessly integrated into Oxfam Ireland’s financial management and electronic point of sale (EPOS) software, will go live in October 2013.

Oxfam Ireland’s current systems are restrictive and no longer cost effective to develop as the charity continues to grow. It therefore sought a user-friendly and highly customised system to more effectively manage its donations, marketing activities and complex Gift Aid reporting requirements. Following a competitive tendering process, the charity selected a tailored CRM solution from m-hance due to its proven integration capabilities, ease of use and reputation within the not-for-profit sector.

Hugh Walker, Finance and Corporate Services Director at Oxfam Ireland, explains, “Several suppliers said their solutions could be tailored towards our needs. However, in m-hance’s case its statements were backed-up by clear, demonstrable evidence supported by a knowledgeable team with excellent references in the not-for-profit sector. It was clear that m-hance’s innovative system has the flexibility and integration capabilities to enable us to develop closer relationships with our fundraisers and supporters to increase our income potential and transform efficiency.”

m-hance’s solution will automate a range of manual processes to enable Oxfam Ireland to easily access, capture and report on detailed information relating to its donors and members to improve organisation-wide collaboration and strengthen supporter engagement. The system will also enable the more effective planning and communication of fundraising activities and measure the success of marketing campaigns to help the charity raise the funds it needs to continually improve its services to support people affected by poverty.

In addition, with m-hance’s solution seamlessly integrated into its finance, EPOS and retail systems, the charity will be able to more efficiently process Gift Aid claims in Northern Ireland and maximise revenue opportunities. It will also benefit from advanced reporting analysis to accurately monitor the performance of each of its 51 retail shops and manage emergency funding applications in a more effective way.

Hugh Walker comments, “m-hance’s system will provide a comprehensive view of our organisation and donors by accurately capturing detailed information from multiple sources. It will also transform the levels of communication we have with our fundraisers and supporters by making it easy for us to keep them fully informed about our activities. By automating communication about the positive difference their donations are making the system will help us to enhance supporter engagement and increase our fundraising capabilities.”

Hugh Walker adds, “m-hance’s solution will help us by eliminating manual processes and unnecessary paperwork. This will further improve the productivity of our staff so they can work more proactively to build better relationships with our supporters young and old which is key to driving the charity’s continued growth.”
