Agile Group Charity Football Tournament Raises £4,000
Agile Group and Agility Group have raised £4,000 for local Middlesbrough charities by hosting a Football Tournament. The event, held at Middlesbrough F.C’s Riverside Stadium, took place in perfect conditions on Saturday 25th May and was played out by 4 teams.
Agile Group, eventual winners Subsea and two other clients of Agile, BioChemica and DeepOcean, played out an entertaining tournament that featured ex-professionals Terry Cochrane and Neil Maddison.
The funds raised will be donated to four different charities that are based within Middlesbrough; Zoe’s Place, Teesside Hospice, Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation and the MFC Foundation.
The whole day was structured as close to a match day experience as possible. Those taking part were able to experience using the players’ dressing room, wearing their own personalised shirts, emerging from the players’ tunnel to the club’s Power Game theme tune as well as being cheered on by spectators.
David Elvis of Agile Group, who organised the tournament, said after the event, “I am delighted that we have managed to raise so much money for these fantastic different charities. Although everyone involved had this incredible experience, we cannot lose sight that this event will support some amazing charities”.
The tournament was a tight affair and eventually won on goal difference by Darlington based Subsea.
