Schuh open first out-of-town store in Stockton
Scottish footwear retailer Schuh will open its first out-of-town store at Teesside Shopping Park in Stockton-on-Tees.
From the early Autumn, the British Land-owned park will host a 4,950 sq ft Schuh store on a 10-year lease.
The move follows lettings to Footasylum, for its second out-of-town store, and Simply Be/Jacamo, for its first out-of-town store.
John Maddison, head of Retail Park Asset Management for British Land, said: “We are delighted to work with yet another brand and bring schuh out of town for the first time. Teesside continues to be a test bed for innovative new formats and schuh’s addition will further strengthen our compelling customer offer.”
Colin Temple, managing director of schuh, added: “We are delighted to have added Teesside Shopping Park to our portfolio. We were really impressed by the quality of the retailers and the environment there and are confident it will provide a solid platform to continue to grow our brand from.”
