Matthew Rock, co-founder of Real Business (the UK’s first magazine for entrepreneurs) said: “The Growing Business Awards are the most established, most important, most widely supported national recognition of successful UK SMEs and entrepreneurs. As a country, we have to identify, celebrate and then support our most important businesses – the SME sector. The Growing Business Awards, and Real Business, have been doing that for 16 years, and we’re proud that so many prestigious partners have joined this campaign.”
In 2013, Peter Cullum, one of the UK’s finest entrepreneurs and founder of Towergate Insurance, will serve as chairman of the Growing Business Awards judging panel.
In 2012, Growing Business Awards winners included Colin Stephens of Better Bathrooms (Entrepreneur of the Year), Fever-Tree (Export Champion) and Shutl (Young Company of the Year). Previous winners have included: Pallex (founded by former BBC “Dragon” Hilary Devey); Phones4U founder John Caudwell; Simon Nixon, founder of Moneysupermarket.com and many others.
