GXS Receives Book Industry Supply Chain Excellence Award
GXS™, a leading provider of B2B integration services, today announced that has received accreditation by the Book Industry Communication(BIC) Supply Chain Excellence Award scheme for the second consecutive year. The award recognises GXS’s commitment to providing innovative B2B integration solutions that support companies of all size within the publishing industry in solving their supply chain challenges.
Companies who receive BIC accreditation have demonstrated their ability to offer companies efficient supply chain solutions and enable those companies to be recognised by trading partners and the book industry at large as the best in their class for business efficiency, customer service, environmental concern and innovation. Accreditation is granted on self-assessment, supported by evidence of trading partners and systems suppliers and is judged by an independent BIC review group.
“GXS continues to deliver supply chain excellence year on year to the book industry and so BIC is delighted to see GXS continuing to earn its well-deserved place amongst the industry’s Supply Chain Excellence Accredited organisations,” said Karina Luke, executive director of Book Industry Communication.
“Managing the supply chain for books grows more challenging every year as more purchasing shifts from the store to online and more titles shift from hard copy to ebooks,” said Denise Oakley, director of international marketing at GXS. “We are pleased to be recognised for our contributions with the BIC accreditation. We continue to help advance the publishing value chain by establishing faster connections with business partners and simplifying the exchange of information.”
