University of Liverpool in new Knowledge Transfer Partnership
Sales and marketing firm, Your Sales Team Cloud (YSTC), has revealed a two-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Liverpool.
The Liverpool Science Park-based business will be working with computer experts at the University, in a bid to develop their firm on an international basis.
KTP is a national programme that helps businesses to improve their competitive edge and productivity by enhancing their knowledge and skills.
Delivered through the Technology Strategy Board, the partnership will link KTP with the Department of Computer Science at the University.
YSTC was set up 18-months ago by Lee Hackett, and the firm is now working with clients to drive revenue, increase sales and achieve ambitious growth.
Mr Hackett, director of YSTC, commented: “Working with expert computer scientists at the University is the perfect link for our company so we can further develop cutting edge technology to grow our business.
“Being based at the science park – which is within such close proximity of the University - has enabled us to form this partnership.
“The partnership has allowed us to scale our business much faster and to expand into the United States and Middle East.
“Two jobs have also been created and the University has been extremely supportive of the project and is pleased to be helping a local business which was born and bred in Liverpool.”
Prof. Frans Coenen from the University of Liverpool’s Department of Computer Science said: “It’s a joy to work closely and be able to put our knowledge into practice for a business which I think is destined for great things.
“The team is fantastic to work with and we look forward to the future development of fully automating their processes and allowing them to further enhance their business offer.”
YSTC has 14 employees and clients ranging from fast-growth technology companies to corporates and small start ups.
Liverpool Science Park chief executive Chris Musson, said: “It’s tremendous to see our links with the universities going from strength to strength and to see that our tenants are directly benefitting from this relationship.
“It’s essential for companies in the science park to be able to link up with the universities’ research and development base and see the very real commercial benefit which can come from this.”
