Introducing Invoice-o-matic - A Better Way to Invoice

Small businesses and freelancers are being liberated from the tedium of cumbersome, bland invoicing thanks to the launch of an intuitive free tool from online accounting pioneer FreeAgent.

FreeAgent, who provides the UK’s market-leading online accounting system, has today unveiled Invoice-o-matic - a completely free tool designed to make it easier for very small businesses to create, send and track their invoices online.

Instead of wasting time with the tedious process of creating invoices on their own, users can simply customise a professionally laid out invoice template, which Invoice-o-matic then emails as a PDF document to their chosen recipient. A copy of the PDF is also sent by email to the user.

Invoice-o-matic is completely web-based and can be accessed at http://invoiceomatic.io so there is no need to download any software and there are no restrictions on the number of invoices that can be sent through the service.

Invoice-o-matic also sends a reminder email to users when the payment deadline on their invoice has passed, so that they can easily remember to chase up any outstanding invoices if they haven’t been paid.

Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent, said: “We know that many small businesses still rely on tools like Word to painstakingly create their invoices - and can end up incurring extra costs to print them out and send by post to their clients. But invoicing and getting paid shouldn’t be a chore: it should be an enjoyable part of running a business.

“That’s why we created Invoice-o-matic. It’s an intuitive tool that’s been specifically designed to not only free people from the hassle of designing their own invoices and the cost of printing and posting them, but also to make invoicing more fun. After all, when you send an invoice you’re just one step away from being paid for all of your hard work, so why make it boring?

“By using Invoice-o-matic for free, we hope that small business owners and freelancers will discover a far more enjoyable way to create professional-looking invoices, send them online to their customers and then get reminded to chase them if they’re overdue.

“We’re looking forward to showing how Invoice-o-matic could revolutionise the way small businesses send out invoices and chase their customers for payment. Then, as they grow, they can see how they could benefit from the wider FreeAgent experience.”
