WorkCast win award for Best Webcast Platform
Europe’s leading webinar, webcasting and virtual event organisation WorkCast (part of The Leighton Group) are delighted to have won this year’s Streaming Media Awards for its Webcast Platform.
Winners of the influential Awards programme for the European online video industry were announced on 18th June at the Streaming Forum conference in London. Voting took place during the summer across 16 categories by the readers of Streaming Media’s European magazine.
“We’re delighted to have won the award for best platform. We’ve built a robust and innovative platform that delivers a high volume of online events for over 220 global clients, so to win an award that recognises our investment in the platform and the creativity and hard work of the WorkCast team is fantastic. We’re constantly developing and enhancing the Platform and look forward to sharing some exciting new features and enhanced functionality this year” says WorkCast’s Co-Founder and Commercial Director, Barney Brown.
Streaming Media Editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen said “This year’s European Readers’ Choice Winners offer a snapshot of ‘who’s who’ in the world of online video, as defined not by the press or pundits but by the people who really matter most: the end users. The streaming media landscape is constantly evolving, and this year’s list demonstrates that while hardware remains central to our industry, cloud services are becoming ever-more important in the overall online video ecosystem.”
