A new door opens for Ve Interactive
Parisienne doorways are so elegant. The one into Ve Interactive’s new Paris office, officially opening in July is possibly our most stylish front door yet. But that’s Paris for you. It is also a pretty big doorway. France has around 70 million people and whilst it is not recognised as the most significant country in terms of technology, this is a massive opportunity for Ve Interactive to make a real difference to the online economy there.
France is known for its bureaucracy and big taxes, but net net, we’ve found the process of establishing an office there very easy to handle, and after taxation analysis, employing staff and paying our dues, it’s comparable to doing business in London. We have also been able to find and hire some of the best brains in accounting, law, data protection and business development there.
Ve had already built a French desk in our London HQ and that department developed our existing French client base. The head of it has now moved back to France, to build a brand new business development team in Paris, whilst the London based French account management team still sit very close to our tech developers and designers, ensuring seamless integration and the highest levels of customer service.
Understanding the local culture in any business is of paramount importance. Language capabilities are one thing, but cultural understanding is another. And if we want to authentically engage with the online digital community in France, the least we can do is be there.
