Cramlington IT firm open doors to government contracts
A Cramlington-based technology firm has secured a place on the Government’s new IT procurement network, opening the door to public sector contract wins.
Due North is a provider of eSourcing and contract management software and already works with high profile clients such as the Metropolitan Police, the Bank of England and the Met Office.
The company will now feature on the Government’s G-Cloud supplier framework for IT services, a type of online marketplace for government departments and the public sector to source from.
The platform is designed to reduce red tape in the application process and create more contract opportunities for SMEs.
Richard Leslie, the company’s sourcing solutions manager, said: “We’d applied for central government frameworks before and had been unsuccessful, but the process was much better and more straightforward this time.
“The news that we were successful couldn’t have come at a better time for us – we’re delighted and hope that this will unlock much more potential central government business for us.”
Due North employ 28 staff at their Cramlington base, and with cumulative spend through G-Cloud now over £25m, the company hope to grow their pipeline.
