New store ‘works’ its way into Royal Quays

Shoppers looking for workwear inspiration need look no further than Royal Quays Outlet Centre, North Shields, where Dickies has set up shop.

Dickies, the world famous American clothing brand, has been designing and producing high quality workwear since 1922.

The store, at Royal Quays, is the latest to open in the UK, as the company continues to expand its retail offering. It features a range of men’s and ladies workwear including jackets, trousers, coveralls, hoodies and sweats.

Also in stock are high visibility garments, flame retardant clothing, safety footwear and accessories. For customers looking for casual clothing, the shop also stocks a range of Dickies streetwear.

Store Manager, Amanda Laverick from Gateshead, said: “The store opened at the start of June and I have a team of four working alongside me.

“The location is fantastic and I am having a great time running Dickies, it’s like a family here at Royal Quays!

“When you enter our store, you will see that we produce workwear for a wide range of trades and professions including builders, painters, mechanics, hospitality workers, public safety and many more! This is also the first Dickies store in the UK to offer customers a comprehensive range of work tools.”

Royal Quays Centre Manager, Judith Ramshaw, said: “Amanda and the team have settled in very well and we are delighted to welcome Dickies to Royal Quays.

“The store has a diverse offering for customers and complements the wide range of well-known prestigious brands and specialist retailers.”

Royal Quays has 50 stores which employ around 500 staff, making it an important employment hub for the North Tyneside area.
