North East entrepreneur reaches new heights online
NORTH EAST ENTREPRENEUR REACHES NEW HEIGHTS WITH CREATION OF ONLINE JEANS STORE
A new online jeans retailer has launched to make life easier for the tall and slim when it comes to denim shopping, after the CEO experienced his own fair share of struggles when searching for jeans.
Paul Hayman, 35, who is from Darlington, has created The Lanky Jeans Company as, at 6 feet 4 tall and weighing 13 stone, he was constantly disappointed on his quest to find a pair of quality jeans which fit his dimensions properly.
Paul said: “I always found shopping for jeans to be a stressful exercise because, as a tall and slim man, no retailers ever seemed to stock the leg length with the waistline I needed – and if they did, there wasn’t a great deal of choice available.
“So, I decided to set up The Lanky Jeans Company to provide a bespoke service for people like me who aren’t the average size and are taller and slimmer than normal to offer stylish, quality jeans in a variety of premium brands in one place.
“The Lanky Jeans Co. focuses on the forgotten, neglected shoppers whose waistlines don’t necessarily expand with our leg length and we hand pick our stock with a strong emphasis on body shape – so you’re not having to endure saggy sacks of denim to find something which covers your ankles.”
“In a challenging retail environment, the jeans market continues to go from strength to strength. Three pairs of jeans are sold each second in Britain and we’re expected to buy 80million pairs of jeans in the next year – an increase of 40 per cent*”
The Lanky Jeans Co. offers jeans for both men and women. Waistlines start at 25“ for women and 28“ for men, with leg lengths up to 35“ for women and 37“ for men. Brands on offer include Wrangler, Lee, Silver and Hudson. The Lanky Jeans Company can also source other sizes on request.
