Blue Rainbow performs best in Manchester hotel market
A boutique hotel chain has claimed its Manchester outlets outperformed all their competitors in the city, after it appeared top of the STR hotel industry reports in June.
Blue Rainbow Aparthotels offer 4* and 5* apartments, with their flagship site based in Manchester Central’s Knot Mill area where the firm won a 2% increased share of the luxury hotel market in comparison with June 2012.
The chain outperformed Manchester’s iconic Hilton hotel in occupancy levels, while it also did better than the Radisson hotel.
STR’s report, which is based on daily reports from hotels across the world, is a trade tool that indicates how well hoteliers are performing.
Blue Rainbow Aparthotels gained an average of £4.47 per room sold when compared with last June’s figures, which the chain said boosted its ratings on the STR scale.
Will Hannah, managing director at Blue Rainbow Aparthotels, commented: “We’re thrilled with the STR figures for June and feel they demonstrate the excellent service offering we provide in Manchester city centre.
“We pride ourselves on offering a home-from-home experience for both business guests and those on a weekend city break and believe this report confirms our increased market share when it comes to providing quality accommodation.”
£250,000 was recently spent refurbishing the chain’s Manchester Central rooms, while the firm’s second North West serviced apartment complex was launched on Manchester High Street in April 2012.
The company, which was founded in 2005, has plans to extend their Northern portfolio by another 560 rooms across Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds, and is looking into expanding its services into food across some of its properties.
