Anesco enhances ESCO model with EnergyPoints
National energy efficiency solutions company, Anesco, has enhanced its groundbreaking ESCO model with the addition of an intelligent analytics platform.
EnergyPoints Analytics provides a simple and accurate analysis of energy and resource usage and the environmental and financial impact of efficiency measures which affect these. Anesco will use the detailed analytics, which include factors such as waste, water and travel, as part of its ESCOs, to compare energy usage across multiple resources, measures and locations.
Anesco’s ESCO model provides councils and other organisations with a way to upgrade their properties and assets without the need to allocate precious funds. The model works by examining current energy usage and planning the most effective mix of energy efficiency measures and upgrades that could be made to bring the greatest benefit. The measures are then installed at no upfront cost, through an investor-backed funding route.
Adrian Pike, CEO of Anesco, explains: “Our innovative shared saving ESCO model can help organisations to substantially reduce their carbon emissions and energy costs, by making improvements across multiple sites and using multiple resource and energy efficiency measures. The model can address energy usage of all kinds and at every level within an organisation, so the detailed analytics provided by the EnergyPoints system are perfect.”
He added: “Essentially, if we can measure and monitor it, we can identify funded solutions to reduce it. With this system we are able to give our clients a comprehensive understanding of their energy and resource usage, to identify costs and savings.”
EnergyPoints Analytics provides Anesco with a number of solutions to further enhance and develop its ESCO model, by increasing its ability to monitor and analyse all types of resource use. Anesco will have the increased ability to provide businesses with the information needed to make informed management decisions that will optimise operational and environmental performance, while significantly reducing the time needed for analysis.
The ESCO team will also use the performance information to support the creation of investment grade proposals that provide solutions to clients at no upfront cost and with guaranteed forecasted savings based on implemented projects.
EnergyPoints provides a true measure by converting all energy resource; including electricity, water, waste and transportation into a single common unit. The platform can analyse total energy and resource use; compare energy performance of business units, buildings, processes, and projects, or roll-up for the entire enterprise to discover inefficiency and risk.
“For true competitive advantage, today’s senior executives need better enterprise Business Intelligence capabilities that provide total energy resource consumption optimization” said Ory Zik, CEO of Energy Points. “Bringing Anesco on as a customer will expand our market reach and help us bring EnergyPoints Analytics to businesses that need to maximize the impact of efficiency projects while reducing risk,” said Zik.
Delivered as a cloud based SaaS or through its comprehensive SDK, EnergyPoints Analytics can be used stand-alone or integrated with existing resource management systems. This enables energy service companies (ESCO’s), software providers, consulting companies and financial analysts to augment existing solutions.
