LSH appointed to Local Infrastructure Fund project
Manchester-based property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has been appointed by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to advise on bids for the £284m Local Infrastructure Fund (LIF).
Announced as part of the 2012 Autumn Statement, the LIF aims to unlock stalled infrastructure projects across the UK.
The LIF is specifically targeting the delivery of large housing sites, in addition to expanding the employment space available within Enterprise Zones nationwide.
LSH will offer support to the LIF across the UK by assessing applications to the fund, reviewing proposals from developers and advising the HCA on where to invest the funds.
Adam Mirley, Head of Planning and Development at LSH’s Manchester office commented: “Our team has significant experience with large scale developments and due diligence, and clearly understands the needs of the HCA in this project.
“The success of the LIF will revitalise UK infrastructure and open up some large development opportunities.”
Enterprise Zones that have been shortlisted after submitting project proposals include Birmingham, Cornwall, Dover, Halton, Humberside, Leeds, Manchester Airport, Newquay, Ribble Valley, Sheffield, Solent, Tees Valley, The Wirral and West Essex.
