IoD North West announce Director of Year nominees
The Institute of Directors North West have revealed the finalists for the 10th Director of the Year awards, with representatives from some of the best businesses in the region.
Winners will be picked from nine categories in a celebration of North West talent, set to be held at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester, on Thursday, September 26.
Nominees include directors from UKFast, Ainscough Crane Hire, Accrol Papers and North West Air Ambulance.
Darrell Matthews, regional director of IoD North West, said: “The quality of entries this year was particularly striking and this is reflected in the final nominees.
“There is a great spread of talent from some of the region’s leading businesses and public sector organisations.
“Our awards are different to many because they celebrate the people behind fantastic businesses.
“These are the people who take bold decisions to drive growth, and so it is important that we highlight their achievements.”
Last year’s winners included John McGuire of retailer N Brown, Ian Brown of wallpaper manufacturer Graham & Brown and Graham Keegan of engineering solutions firm Costain.
