Rare gets creative with the Sheffield community
Marketing agency Rare Creative Group has been appointed to raise awareness of a Sheffield-based children’s weight management service provided by Zest.
Zest, which is supported by Sheffield City Council, has tasked Rare with attracting local families to free-of-charge interactive workshops which help parents and children learn about healthy eating and how to become more active together.
As part of the brief, Rare, which is also based in Sheffield, will be introducing a full-integrated marketing campaign to attract local residents to the 12-week programme later this year.
Rare will combine adverts on buses and trams across the city with a Google Adwords campaign to drive online traffic to the Zest website.
Posters and flyers featuring information about the programme will also be designed, handed out at key events such as the Sheffield Children’s Festival and will be sent to locations including GP practices.
Rare has also coordinated a two week radio advertising campaign on Sheffield’s Hallam FM, which will be supported with an online promotion on the Hallam FM website to win a family holiday.
Melissa Goodrich, account manager at Rare Creative Group, comments: “Zest is a community-based initiative working across different areas of Sheffield to improve community services and enhance the health of local residents.
“We’ve seen for ourselves the positive impact that the courses can have and we were keen to work with the team to raise awareness of such a great initiative here in our home city.
“We’ve put together a strategy which we believe will really impact and reach out to local residents.
“As such, the marketing collateral has been produced to appeal to families who may be able to make use of this valuable, free service.”
