Care Home provider in Yorkshire expands with funding
A care home provider that operates homes throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire has secured a seven-figure funding package to make a further acquisition.
Country Court Care will purchase the Summer Lane Care Home in Weston-super-Mare with the help of Clydesdale Bank.
The Peterborough-based company has a turnover of about £15m and employs more than 500 staff, and operates homes in Sheffield, Grimsby and Boston, amongst others.
The company now have ambitions to grow their number of residential beds from 600 to 1000 within the next few years.
Abdul Kachra, CEO of Country Court Care, said: “Thanks to Clydesdale Bank’s investment, we have expanded our residential portfolio and are now providing residents of Summer Lane Care Home with the first-class care that other residents across our group enjoy.
“As a business we are keen to grow but not at the expense of the quality of service we provide. We believe firmly in sustainable growth which is reflected in the high standards of care in all our homes as well as the financial stability of our group.”
Derek Breingan, Clydesdale Bank’s head of healthcare, said: “We welcome the opportunity to help Country Court Care, a well-respected operator within the industry, to expand its services.
“The care home sector has an increasingly significant role to play in society as the population ages.”
Clydesdale Bank’s Birmingham-based corporate banking team director, Nigel Wood, conducted the deal.
