Teesside financial advisors drive 20% turnover increase
A Teesside-based firm of independent financial advisors has reported a 20% turnover increase as it drives more productivity from its staff.
WR Financial says it has reached £965,000 turnover, owing to a new employee benefits package that has increased commitment and productivity.
The Teesdale firm, that specialise in designing and implementing bespoke compensation and benefit packages for businesses, carried out an in-depth employee survey with staff to identify what is most important to them and understand their career aspirations.
With the analysis WR Financial set in place a tailored rewards package and made internal changes to encourage personal development and career progression within the firm.
WR Financial director Tony Slimmings said: “Our 20% turnover growth and shortlisting in the national CIPD People Management Awards is testament to the hard work and expertise of all of our employees and their commitment to the firm.
“The welfare and happiness of our employees is paramount; we understand how important it is to support them and listen to what is essential to them. Every individual is different so we have worked to create benefits – including a flexible holiday package, pension and healthcare schemes - that are desired by all employees.
“We have also increased our support for personal development and career progression of staff through training by investing in the region of £50,000 within the last year alone.
“As financial experts that specialise in supporting businesses to implement employee benefit packages we have listened to our own advice and the results have been staggering. The right employee benefits packages are essential to the success of any business and ensure you attract and retain the right personnel.
“Within the next financial year we are anticipating to grow our turnover even further and increase our workforce in the coming months with a minimum of two new recruits.”
WR have been shortlisted in the prestigious national CIPD People Management Awards within the category of SME HR Initiative of the Year for its in-house strategy and overhaul of its HR and employee reward scheme.
The firm will find out if it has won the award at a special ceremony - which will be hosted by writer, broadcaster and former MP Gyles Brandreth - on September 17th at the Hilton Hotel, London.
