Busy Emsleys invests £100,000 in green fleet
Returning confidence in the housing market has led to new investment at Leeds-based Emsleys estate agents.
The company, which has four Leeds branches, has put £100,000 into a new low-emission fleet of vehicles for its specialist team, reducing the cost and environmental impact of rising client visits and property viewings.
The seventh generation, super frugal BlueMotion Golfs claim fuel figures of 88.3mpg and match their impressive economic performance with CO2 emissions of just 85g/km. These make it the most fuel-efficient Volkswagen ever and the second most economical hatchback available in the UK at present, according to Car Buyer.
Emsleys has also .devised a new online property search and home movers’ guide and is busily recruiting. New arrivals include solicitor, Adam Dawson, who has joined the property team to advise clients on residential and commercial sales, purchase leases and other property matters, who signed up at the same time as father and son team – senior valuer, David Robinson and sales consultant, James Robinson.
Alistair McKinlay, partner at Emsleys said: “Supported by the government’s Help to Buy scheme and the Bank of England’s funding for lending, there is now convincing evidence that the housing market has finally turned the corner. The Council of Mortgage Lenders has reported a marked rise in mortgage advances and the Halifax confidence tracker is at its highest level for two years.
“Our offices are certainly seeing returning confidence, but also a need for more advice and guidance about the new lending schemes and opportunities.”
Emsleys Estate Agents was established in 2003, as a part of Emsleys Solicitors which provides a range of property legal services.
