Peel launches flexible office option at Liverpool waterfront
North West property giant Peel has launched its first ever flexible office offering in Liverpool.
The Quay is a unique set of flexible offices at the company’s Princes Dock development on Liverpool’s UNESCO listed waterfront. Peel says it is responding to market demand for flexible space.
The Quay is based on the ground floor of No.12 Princes Dock and offers a range of flexible office suites from 100 sq.ft. to 470 sq.ft. All the suites offer floor to ceiling glazing providing impressive waterside views across Princes Dock and will be available from September this year.
Peel is offering short-term flexible contracts, all inclusive monthly rental, furnished and unfurnished options, air-conditioning, shared kitchen, meeting room facility and a free parking space with each office. Occupiers can also use the full height glazed internal atrium which is located at the entrance to The Quay in No 12. The atrium provides a break-out facility, informal meeting space or event venue for the occupiers.
The Quay’s meeting room facility will offer a bespoke, high-specification facility, available to hire by occupiers or external organisations. The meeting room can comfortably fit 12 people around its boardroom table and has a smart board facility, telephone conferencing and built-in refreshment amenities.
Ian Pollitt, Development Investment Surveyor at Peel, said: “There is currently a growing need for flexible office space which new and small businesses can take without being tied into long contracts. The Quay is the next generation of our offices and plugs this gap perfectly – we are already seeing a lot of interest in the suites.”
Liza Marco, Property Manager at Princes Dock, said: “We already have a number of large international organisations at Princes Dock and we are pleased to now be better equipped to cater to the needs of smaller and start-up companies too. The Quay will add to the already impressive office offer at Princes Dock and we look forward to welcoming more businesses”.
The Quay will be available for occupation from September this year.
Princes Dock is a hub of business activity set in 14.5 hectares, situated within the £6 billion redevelopment scheme of Liverpool waterfront; Liverpool Waters, which received Central Government approval for the planning permission in March 2013. The Liverpool Waters vision involves regenerating a 60 hectare historic dockland site to create a world-class, high-quality, mixed use waterfront quarter in central Liverpool.
Princes Dock is located adjacent to the iconic Liver Building alongside the new cruise liner facility. The Leeds and Liverpool canal extension also passes through this dock.
There are over 2,500 people employed within Princes Dock with occupiers including Coutts Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Atlantic Container Liners. All occupiers benefit from on-site car parking, 24 hour security services, dedicated on-site maintenance team, on site member health and leisure club, convenience store, cafe, bars, restaurants and a day nursery.
In addition to three Grade A office buildings, Princes Dock is home to two high quality hotels; the Crowne Plaza and Malmaison, three luxury apartment towers and a 760 space multi storey car park.
