Tickets selling like hot cakes at Yarm School
Tickets are selling like hot cakes after a Ticket Office opened its doors at the coffee shop in Strickland & Holt on Yarm High Street.
The shop will be selling tickets for productions at Yarm School’s award-winning auditorium and performing arts centre, The Princess Alexandra Auditorium.
Yarm School’s Headmaster, David Dunn, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of the Princess Alexandra Ticket Office and are very grateful to Strickland & Holt for joining in partnership with us. The ticket office will allow greater access for the community to both the school’s productions and external events held at our fantastic auditorium.”
The 800-seat Princess Alexandra Auditorium has been nationally acclaimed for its stunning design. Recently it won the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) North East Award 2013 as well as the Client of the Year Award.
Strickland & Holt has been a presence on Yarm High Street for more than 150 years, with the family-owned shop offering its customers gifts and accessories, as well as a variety of baked goods from its newly refurbished and extended café.
Mrs Stephanie Richardson, owner of Strickland & Holt, said: “Strickland & Holt is delighted to welcome the ticket office to the store, as its presence will only benefit the community. “
As tickets will now be on sale at such a prominent shop on Yarm High Street as ours, this will give more people the opportunity to see some great productions, including David Briggs, the world-renowned organist, who performs at the school in September.“
Other forthcoming productions include a performance by the Military Band on Friday September 6 and a Joe Cornish lecture and gallery evening on Sunday November 17.
