International bakery chain’s first UK outlet in Leeds
Pack Snack, the Hungarian bakery chain that is one of the largest franchises in the world, with thousands of outlets across Europe, the United States and Canada, will open its first UK shop, in the Merrion Centre in Leeds city centre, on Friday 16th August 2013.
All Pack Snack units offer 32 different pastry types starting from 30p, including cinnamon, raspberry, chocolate and banana flavours that are popular with children. All products have reduced fat and sugar and are specially designed to be eaten on the go without getting greasy fingers.
The Leeds shop will also sell soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Commenting on the Pack Snack brand, Attila Balazs, who owns the UK master license, said: “Pack Snack is becoming one of the biggest names in the bakery sector - although completely new to the British market - and we’re very excited to open our first store here in the Merrion Centre.”
Its arrival is expected to drive increased footfall to the venue. Susan Mendoza, centre manager, said: “We’re really proud to have been selected as the location for Pack Snack’s inaugural UK store. This is a unique bakery offer which will complement our other food retailers in the Merrion Centre and give our customers an even bigger choice of outlets to pick up a snack or buy their lunch from. I’m looking forward to sampling the delicious pastries myself.”
Attila Balazs added: “The brand is a household name in Europe because we offer customers a huge selection of freshly made, healthy pastry products, which are dry to the touch, making them the perfect on-the-go snack.”
