North East security firm in the frame for national industry award
A security firm based in Newcastle has been announced as a finalist at the prestigious Security Excellence Awards 2013.
Tyneside Security, of Forest Hall, are finalists in the Small to Medium Security Installer of the Year category.
Led by director Chris Pattinson, they will compete against seven other companies from across the UK for the prestigious title.
The Security Excellence Awards, now in their fifteenth year, aim to showcase and celebrate the best people, projects and processes the UK’s security sector has to offer.
The award will be presented to the company that has shown the highest standards of workmanship, professionalism and customer support throughout the year.
Chris said: “We are delighted to be a finalist flying the flag for the region and our industry. This is the first year we have entered the Security Excellence Awards which is equivalent to the Oscars in our sector.
“We’re a small, dedicated team which prides itself on good workmanship, reliability and top-class customer service so it’s great to have this recognised by our industry peers.”
The company was established by Mr Pattinson’s father Robert in 1982 and offers installation, service and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV and fire alarms.
It employs eight full-time engineers and support staff who look after an extensive portfolio of commercial and private clients throughout the North East.
The Security Excellence Awards organised by UBM Live, take place on the 23rd of October at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London attracting in the region of 1,000 key industry people who will celebrate with the finalists in 18 award categories which cover every aspect of the industry including the security management, installation, consultancy and manufacturing sub-sectors.
