Advanced Business Solutions debuts ‘Advanced Air Approvals’ app on iTunes

New application allows eFinancials customers to approve and reject financial transactions ‘on the move’

21 August 2013 - Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), a market leading provider of business applications (apps) and services, announces the launch of its Advanced Air Approvals application in response to increasing demand from customers. The app will be available for download from the iTunes store from today.

Advanced Air Approvals is the first in a suite of apps which will give customers who are using eFinancials, one of Advanced’s finance systems, the flexibility to approve or reject transactions while they are ‘on the move’.

The real-time application allows finance and procurement staff to access key financial information from their mobile device. All transactions appear as a list and can be categorised by type, for example, a requisition from procurement, invoices or new supplier requests. The app also has the functionality to append notes if a transaction is rejected.

A once only, user specific, activation key is sent to the user to ensure that only they can activate the application. As security is integral when dealing with important financial information, the user will set up their own secure PIN code which they will enter each time they open the app. The auto time-out functionality will also ensure that any confidential information will not be left open, on screen, for others to see.

Leading analyst firm, Gartner, says, “CFOs have interest in cloud and mobile technologies. SaaS (and cloud-based delivery) is starting to affect business applications, and many CFOs use mobile devices and would be interested in getting access to key business information using these tools. Hence, CIOs should use this interest to show how wider investments in cloud and mobile technology could deliver benefits across the organisation.”*

Dean Dickinson, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Public Sector & Enterprise Division) says, “Feedback from our customers led us to develop the Advanced Air Approvals application, which is a quick and easy way for organisations to keep on top of their payments while on the move.

Advanced Air Approvals is currently available for e-Financials customers but will be available for other finance systems in the future. It is the first in a series of applications available on iTunes, which has been developed by Advanced Business Solutions and can also be accessed at http://air.advancedcomputersoftware.com

Advanced is the only software provider to offer applications inclusive of airtime and mobile devices.
